Lord Dhanvantari is revered as the divine physician and the God of Ayurveda in Hindu mythology. He is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is believed to have emerged from the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan) holding a pot of Amrita (nectar of immortality). Dhanvantari is depicted with four hands, carrying a conch, discus, leech, and a pot of nectar. He is worshipped for health, longevity, and healing, and his teachings form the foundation of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine. Dhanvantari Jayanti, celebrated two days before Diwali, honors his contributions to health and well-being.
